Train the Trainers: Learn how to design and deliver workshops
Do you have to design and deliver a workshop, but don’t know where to start? The EDC can help! Train the Trainers is a 12-hour, hands-on program designed for Carleton’s staff to help provide you with deeper knowledge of workshop design and greater confidence in the training options you develop and lead. The objectives for the program are to make workshop design feel less isolated, to introduce you to the workshop design cycle, and to provide you with opportunities to gain feedback on the design of your workshop.
By the end of this program, you’ll be able to:
- Explain the importance of the three main components of workshop design
- Write effective learning outcomes
- Design learner-centred workshop activities to engage participants
- Complete a plan for a learner-centred, outcomes-based workshop
The Winter 2019 cohort will run on Thursdays at 1 – 4 p.m. from January 24 to February 14 in 422 Dunton Tower. Spots are limited, so register here today.
