On June 10, construction will begin on the new Future Learning Lab on the fourth floor of MacOdrum Library and is expected to be completed in October 2022. During the construction, the entire fourth floor will be closed.
Once completed, the new space will bring educators and students together to share, research and design thanks to $1 million in funding from the Government of Ontario and a matching contribution from the university. In addition to fostering student and instructor partnerships, the lab will encourage undergraduate research opportunities and offer innovation grants. It will also provide physical and virtual spaces for instructors to innovate with pedagogical design, as well as enhance study spaces for students.
This exciting project is a collaboration between Teaching and Learning Services, MacOdrum Library, and Facilities Management and Planning.
