Carleton has received approximately $177,000 through the second round of eCampusOntario’s Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) to support two projects.
Instructor Lois Frankel (School of Industrial Design) received funding in support of her proposal to create an interactive online educational resource developed for and with design students, while instructor Troy Anderson (Sprott School of Business) received funding for his project that aims to identify best practices in using emerging extended reality technology for pedagogical communication with remote Indigenous communities. “These projects will build on the success of the first round of the Virtual Learning Strategy,” says David Hornsby, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning). “We are proud of the dedication and innovation our teaching community continues to demonstrate, and are honoured to have these efforts recognized.”
Carleton has been awarded close to $1 million in funding through the VLS to support 12 hybrid and online learning projects, in addition to the 14 projects Carleton instructors are collaborating on with other institutions.
