Podcasting 101

March 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Location:Online
Cost:Free

Podcasting is a popular way of using digital audio content to engage an audience. Podcasts cover a wide range of topics and often take the form of conversations between hosts, storytelling, or interviews with content experts. Since podcasts are pre-recorded, they offer a flexible and asynchronous experience; students can engage with the material anywhere they are, whether it’s on the bus, while doing dishes, or at the gym.

Join this workshop to learn how you can integrate podcasting into your course and how you can invite your students to create podcasts of their own.

By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Know what a podcast is and understand what the basic ingredients are in terms of content, technical considerations, and process.
  • Be able to identify the range of opportunities (mediums, genres, etc.) for integrating podcasting activities into your course.
  • Have an understanding of how to align podcasting activities with your course outcomes.
  • Recognize the possible media supports (equipment, workflow, resources, etc.) you might need for podcasting activities.

Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
