Accessibility/XR Spotlight: Lessons Learned about Making Teaching Programming and Accessible Multi-User VR Inclusive (with Anthony Scavarelli)

Join TLS facilitators and Dr. Anthony Scavarelli for an engaging presentation and discussion on accessible teaching and learning. Dr. Anthony Scavarelli is an Algonquin College professor in the Bachelor of Information Technology: Interactive Multimedia and Design (BIT-IMD) joint program between Carleton University and Algonquin College. His research focuses on how to make virtual reality (VR) in learning more inclusive.

In this presentation, Dr. Scavarelli will discuss how he brings inclusion and accessibility into his teaching within a 3rd-year design studio course, focusing on interdisciplinary group work that culminates into a significant term project building accessible multi-user VR experiences.
