No two days are exactly the same during the GINS 3200: Experiential Learning Abroad course. During the two weeks spent in Belize, students will work on a community-based project with oversight from Carleton faculty and the Center for Engaged Learning Abroad (CELA). In addition, they will participate in various opportunities aimed at enhancing both their intercultural competency and understanding of the topics associated with their project. Students will attend presentations provided by local academics, professionals, and Elders; connect with community members; and engage in a variety of cultural activities.

- Garifuna Culture
Cultural activities may include, but are not limited to, exploring archeological sites, a jungle hike, learning about and preparing Belizean foods, visiting museums and local villages, and participating in optional excursions.
