Carleton University is proud to provide a comprehensive benefits program for its employees.

An important part of managing this program is the annual renewal of contracts with our insurers. Each year at this time we review how the plans have been used and negotiate the best rates possible for the coming year. We have completed our analysis and discussions with Canada Life for the 2020/21 benefit year, which runs from May 1, 2020 to April 31, 2021.

Premium rates for benefits will be adjusted as follows effective May 1, 2020:

Long Term Disability (LTD) – Staff No Change
Long Term Disability (LTD) – CUASA No Change
Health Care Increase of 10%
Dental Care No Change
Life Insurance Increase of 10%

The actual amount that you and the University pay for your benefits coverage is available on your Direct Deposit Advice which is accessible through Carleton Central at http://central.carleton.ca.
