Dining Services | There are over ten places to eat on campus, from full-service dining (Bakers, located on the 4th floor in the University Centre), to all you can eat cafeteria (Fresh Food Company located on the 3rd floor in Residence commons). |
Need a coffee? | Choose from several locations, including Starbucks (in the Library and University Centre), Second Cup (in the Canal Building, 1st floor), and Tim Hortons (several locations including the Athletics Building, University Centre, and the River Building overlooking the Rideau River). |
Roosters Cafe | Make your way to the 4th floor in the University Centre for a tasty wrap or sandwich, brought to you by our student`s association. |
Pubs on campus | For over 40 years, Mike’s Place, located on the 2nd floor of the University Centre, has been Carleton’s grad owned and operated pub on campus and on the floor below you’ll find Oliver’s. |

Athletics | Our facilities are your one-stop shop for all things athletic. With an air-conditioned triple gymnasium, a double gymnasium, a 50m L-shaped pool, Ice House, fitness centre, cardio room, yoga room, multipurpose and combative rooms, outdoor fields and tennis courts, you’ll quickly run out of reasons why you can’t get into shape! |
Doctors Office | Health and Counselling Services is your health and wellness centre on campus. Professional Services Term/Contract employees, Faculty, Contract Instructors, post doctorate fellows, researchers, visitors (e.g. guest lecturers, athletes from visiting teams) can come to see the walk-in doctor for medical problems that are episodic in nature – a cold, an infection, an allergic reaction and so on. They cannot make one of the physicians here their regular doctor. |
Pharmacy | The Prescription Shop is an independently owned pharmacy and travel clinic at Carleton University. Located on the first floor of the Technology and Training Centre. |
Dental Office | Alinea Dental is an independently owned dental office at Carleton University. Located on the second floor of the Technology and Training Centre |

Campus Card Office | Located at 407 University Centre, this is where you’ll go as a new employee to get your Campus Card. Your Campus Card serves as your library card, gym pass, CUOL tape rental card, and in some cases, door access. |
Lost and Found | Lose something? Chances are someone has brought it to Lost and Found located in the Campus Card Office (above) at 407 University Centre. |
Bank Machines | The university has a full branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia located in the first floor of Patterson Hall. They can be contacted at 613-564-5363. There are also 5 ScotiaBank ABMs located around campus. |
Library | Located next to Dunton Tower, the recent renovation of the Library building has given you expanded and renovated learning spaces. We are also using emerging technologies to reach you on your mobile devices wherever you are; supporting your research efforts and opening up your research to the world; and working with library colleagues in Canada and around the world to give you enhanced access to excellent research collections. |
Bookstore | Located on the first floor in the University Centre, the University Bookstore carries books, clothes, gifts, office supplies, phone cases, flash drives, and more. |
Art Gallery | The Carleton University Art Gallery (CUAG) is a vital cultural resource for the University and the wider community, bringing art and minds together. You can find it in St. Patrick`s Building (near the residences). |
Kailash Mital Theatre | The Kailash Mital Theatre, located in Loeb Building, is Carleton University’s fully equipped 444 seat performance Theatre. Professionally equipped, managed and staffed, the theatre is suitable for Dramatic Productions, Acoustic and Amplified Concerts, and both Conferences and Meetings. |
Convenience Store | Henry’s is the name of Carleton’s convenience store and is located at 401 University Centre. Inside the convenience store you’ll also find a post office. |
