Collins Ogundipe (PhD candidate) and Alex Ellery (MAE Professor) ‘s 2022 conference paper titled “Practical limits to transfer learning of neural network controllers from Earth to space environments” – to be presented at the 42nd British Computer Society Special Group on Artificial Intelligence’s Int Conf on Artificial Intelligence, Cambridge, UK, on 13-15 December has been awarded the Donald Michie Memorial Trophy as the best technical paper. Donald Michie was one of the Bletchley Park cryptologists during WWII who contributed to the first computers. Congratulations to Collins for a fine effort!
