Congratulations to Carleton University’s Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidate, Steffan Lloyd, for winning Best Student Paper at the Modeling, Estimation and Control Conference (MECC 2022) in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.  The conference was hosted by the American Automatic Control Council (AACC), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

Steffan presented his winning paper, “Application of Pseudo-Symbolic Dynamic Modeling (PDSM) in the Modeling and Calibration of a 6-DOF Articulated Robot”, which can be read here.

The paper was coauthored by Lloyd’s supervisors, Professor Rishad Irani, and Professor Mojtaba Ahmadi, both of Carleton’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department.
