Masako Hirotani for being one of five Carleton University researchers who will be receiving funding (total $623,959) from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI). Dr. Hirotani will investigate the use of prosody (sentence melody) in sentence comprehension based on brain wave measurements. Her research will also look at character and word processing of non-Roman characters through the examination of eye movements while reading.
