For anyone who’s climbed onboard the yoga train, the words asana (आसन), shavasana (शवासन) and pranayama (प्राणायाम) have become part of everyday language. But where do these words come from, how are they written in their original form, and how does the grammar of the language surrounding them really work? Hebrew courses are also offered through the College at both first and second year level. Taught by Mina Cohn, the courses provide an intensive introduction to Hebrew suitable for students with little or no previous knowledge of the language.
