With summer registration just around the corner, we wanted to share some information about an exciting graduate course that is among our offerings this year.

ALDS 5407 Language Policy and Planning with Professor Jaffer Sheyholislami offers graduate students a unique opportunity to attend and participate in the Multidisciplinary Approaches in Language Policy and Planning (LPP) Conference, which is taking place at Carleton University June 27-30, 2024.

The class will meet twice a week in May in a hybrid format, and students are required to participate in the LPP conference in June. In addition to participating in at least two sessions per day, students will write entries about the sessions and use them in their final project. Final projects will be due at the end of July.

Interested students can review the course details here and send questions to Professor Sheyholislami at Jaffer.Sheyholislami@carleton.ca.

Please visit the LPP Conference website for additional information, including details about the conference program and registration.
