Elif Once-Buyukerol
Current Program: PhD in ALDS
I am a Ph.D. student pursuing my academic journey in ALDS. My academic path commenced with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching where I was first immersed myself in the world of language acquisition and instruction. This sparked my curiosity and led me to further my studies with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching ESL and EFL classes at various universities in Turkey for the past 6 years. My research interests include the effectiveness of vocabulary exercises and memory strategies such as Prospective and Retrospective, and how these cognitive processes can be harnessed to optimize vocabulary acquisition and retention. I aim to contribute valuable insights to the field of language education.
