Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) support will be available for faculty, contract instructors, teaching support staff and teaching assistants during the holiday break on the following days: Dec. 27, 28, 29 and 30 and Jan. 2, 3, 4 and 5. Hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please note that response time to requests may be delayed due to the holiday closure. We will make our best effort possible to address our teaching community’s needs.

Consultations and Resources for Teaching Online:
Please use the Course Design Intake Form to submit requests relating to designing and building your online courses. Consulting and guidance will be available for teaching approaches, selecting and using teaching technology, assessment strategies and any other facet associated with teaching online. Comprehensive self-serve resources are also available to help you with planning your online course.

Support and Resources for Educational Technology:
Support for the use of Carleton’s educational technology tools will also be available during the holiday break. This includes providing Zoom Pro licenses, support with cuLearn, Kaltura/Mediaspace, BigBlueButton, cuPortfolio and polleverywhere.com. Extensive online user guides and documentation are available for all of Carleton’s suite of educational technology tools and questions and support requests can also be sent to the following email addresses:

Equipment Loans for Online Teaching:
We are not able to loan equipment and technology during the holiday closure. Please arrange to pick up or receive any teaching technology prior to Dec. 24. Equipment loans will be available again on Jan. 4. Submit a request for an equipment loan here.

Classroom Spaces and Recording Services:
Carleton’s classroom recording studios, teaching kiosks and classroom workspaces will be closed from Dec. 24 until Jan. 4. Instructors interested in on-campus assisted recording are encouraged to make these arrangements prior to the closure by completing the Course Design Intake Form.
