Ali Arya
Ali Arya is currently an Associate Professor of Interactive Multimedia. Arya has received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic, Iran, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada. With years of experience in the industry as a software engineer and project manager, and also research and teaching positions at various academic institutions.
In 2023 Ali Arya received the OCUFA Awards of Distinction, which recognizes his innovation and dedication to teaching and the higher education community. In the same year, he was also named one of Carleton University’s Chair in Teaching Innovation for his commitment to teaching innovation and advancing inclusive learning approaches in the classroom. In 2020, he received the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award for his leadership and commitment to teaching and learning and is now designated as a Carleton University teaching fellow.
