Carleton Appreciation Week 2024 Wrap Up
From June 24 to 28, campus was abuzz as Carleton University hosted Appreciation Week 2024. Over the course of five days, friends and colleagues from across departments and units gathered for an array of engaging activities open to faculty and staff.
“It was wonderful to see so many people take time to have fun and reconnect with their colleagues and friends from across campus,” says Cindy Taylor, Associate Vice-President of Human Resources. “I want to share my sincere thanks to all of our hard-working volunteers for making the events such a success – Appreciation Week would not have been possible without you.”
Employees had a wide assortment of activities to choose from, including the chance to visit with Carleton’s therapy dogs, an ice cream event with Interim President and Vice-Chancellor Jerry Tomberlin, trivia games and intramural competitions, among others.
Oxbow Park, located near the Nesbitt building, was the hub for daily lunchtime events that featured lawn games, treats and crafts.
All participants of Appreciation Week events also had the opportunity to win exciting prizes such as hot air balloon rides, gift cards and athletic facility rentals.
