Celebrating Faculty and Staff at Carleton’s Appreciation Day 2026
Employees from across the university’s campus gathered on Wednesday, June 24, in Alumni Park to celebrate Carleton Appreciation Day. The annual afternoon of festivities honours the essential contributions of Carleton’s faculty and staff, offering an opportunity for teams and colleagues to share their appreciation for each other.
The line up of activities for the 2026 edition saw the return of crowd favourites, including a nature walk, lawn games and crafting tables. New this year, employees could also enjoy taking part in a dedicated photobooth with Rodney the Raven or try their luck at claw machines. Those seeking to simply relax could listen to live music, chat with colleagues at one of the many picnic tables or enjoy a visit with the therapy dogs. Those looking for an afternoon snack could dig into cake pops, assorted fruit and create their own custom treat at an ice cream bar.
A variety of fantastic prizes were available to be won. Attendees filled out ballots to win passes for instructional fitness classes, a free cooking lesson for 10, a meal for 8 at Riverbank Social and Carleton swag from the Campus Store, among other prizes.
Thank you to all the volunteers that made the day possible. Take a moment to look back at Carleton Appreciation Day 2026. Attendees are also invited to share their feedback on the event.
