Do I classify as Work Study?

Work Study is a program with specific requirements for which students need to be eligible to apply. Not all students who have part-time jobs on campus are part of the Work Study Program.

I have two jobs in different departments. Which department do I put in the Employee Information Form?

Please include the Department you start working at first or the one where you work more hours. Please note that this box has to be filled out before you submit the form to Human Resources.

Is it legal to collect Date of Birth? Why do we collect Date of Birth?

Yes, there is no legal restriction against collecting Date of Birth. We collect it for confirmation of eligibility to work, benefits, and pensions.

What is a Banner ID?

A banner ID is your Carleton ID number, a nine-digit number starting with 100 or 101. If you are a Carleton student, it is the same as your student number. If you do not have a Banner ID yet, Human Resources will generate it for you when you submit your employee documentation package.
