Learning and Professional Development at Carleton is dedicated to providing opportunities to enhance your individual skills and abilities, to meet your professional goals and to continue your career development.

Below are some of the Learning and Professional Development programs available to Carleton employees:

Mandatory Training

Carleton staff and faculty are required to take mandatory training on accessibility, preventing workplace violence and harassment, and environmental health and safety.

Learning and Development Workshops

Under the Employee Services tab of Carleton Central, click Learning and Professional Development to view and register for current and upcoming Learning and Development Workshops.

Supervisory Development Series

The Supervisory Development Series (SDS) prepares professional staff at Carleton for supervisory opportunities at Carleton.

Carleton Leader

Carleton Leader has been developed with, by and for Carleton University in order to develop a leadership capability which can create and sustain positive work environments that embrace innovative and transformative practices such that Carleton University is at the forefront of excellence.
