Teaching Achievement Awards, Professional Achievement Awards, Contract Instructor Teaching Awards
The Teaching Achievement Awards for faculty and instructors, the Professional Achievement Awards for librarians and instructors, and the Contract Instructor Teaching Award for contract instructors are administered by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic). These awards recognize outstanding scholarly achievement and to enhance excellence in teaching. You may apply directly or choose to nominate a colleague. For more information, please click here.
Research Achievement Awards
The Research Achievement Awards are administered by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International). The purpose of these awards is to recognize outstanding research achievements and to enhance research productivity. You may apply directly or choose to nominate a colleague. Applications and Deadlines
To apply for an award or nominate a colleague, forward your name to the Executive Assistant/Administrative Officer in your respective Faculty Office of the Dean. Prior to the submission deadline, an account will be generated and provided to you to make your application online. If you prefer, you will also be able to submit a hard copy.
The deadline to submit your TAA or RAA application to your Faculty Dean’s Office is Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. The deadline to submit a PAA or CITA application to the Provost’s Office is Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. Please consult with the University Librarian regarding the PAA for Librarians.
Award Consultations
The EDC team is happy to consult individually with faculty and instructors to offer suggestions on completing nominations or applications for the Teaching and Professional Achievement Awards. For more information, contact edc@carleton.ca. Faculty and instructors are also encouraged to contact the EDC to apply for other external or internal teaching awards.
