Teaching and Learning Services (TLS), along with the support of Dual Code, is pleased to announce eCarleton, a new open learning platform that features online courses and resources accessible to anyone inside and outside of the Carleton community.

eCarleton is a learning management system (LMS) similar to cuLearn, except that it doesn’t require Carleton University credentials to log in and access the materials. Anyone can sign up for a free account online and gain access to the course catalogue.

There are currently two open courses available:

  • Open Access PSYC 1001: Experience an intro to psychology course without paying tuition and with the chance to convert your efforts into a university credit
  • Blended and Online Teaching: A set of resources for other institutions’ teaching and learning centres to use in developing their own certificate in blended and online teaching programs

In time, eCarleton will also host professional development initiatives, along with other open credit and non-credit courses.
