Requests for reference letters are just around the corner as students begin to apply for scholarships, graduate programs, internships, and a myriad other professional and volunteer positions. How do you decide which requests to take on and which ones to turn down? How do you write an effective reference letter? How do you let a student know you are unable to write a reference letter for them?
On Friday, Sept. 25, bring your lunch to this second session in the Welcome to My Classroom series and hear from Kim Hellemans, one of our Provost’s Teaching Fellows, as she shares her strategies for managing multiple requests for reference letters and the elements of an effective reference letter.
The session runs from 12-1:30 p.m. in room 422 Dunton Tower.
Space is limited, so register today.
