The Office of the Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) invites applications from the teaching and learning community at Carleton to serve in the role of Educational Development Associate (EDA).

EDAs will work collaboratively with members of Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) to disseminate among their colleagues new knowledge and skills about teaching and learning and the effective use of educational technology. They will also bring their colleagues’ needs and concerns about teaching and learning to the attention of TLS.

In effect, the EDAs will serve as unofficial educational developers in their disciplines, mentoring and inspiring colleagues, working collaboratively and consultatively with them to initiate projects aimed at enhancing teaching and learning, and assisting them in disseminating the latest pedagogical research in their respective fields in ways that most effectively enhance the quality of student learning in their disciplines.

Supported by the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), and by the Deans, volunteering as an EDA is considered as a valuable contribution towards promoting excellence in teaching and learning at Carleton.

Applications should be sent to oavptl@carleton.ca before 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016.
