Would you like to contribute your research skills to helping local organizations solve local problems? If so, come to Carleton’s Fourth Annual Community Engagement Event on February 24 to meet and collaborate with community organizations tackling an array of real-world issues in Ottawa and beyond. This event will connect you with representatives from community organizations who are seeking to partner with Carleton students and faculty.

The event will feature:

  • A keynote presentation by Marc-André Clement (Culture Shock Canada) and some of Carleton’s top students, who will share key insights on how to make partnership-based projects effective for all involved
  • A series of networking sessions hosted by community organizations and Carleton faculty on over two dozen topics
  • A special session on a community-led proposal for an Ottawa networking platform

The event runs from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Discovery Centre. Get a full list of Carleton and community presenters and register here. Registration will be open until February 24, but space in specific networking sessions may be limited.

This event is sponsored by Carleton’s Committee on Community Engaged Pedagogy, Teaching and Learning Services, the Office of the Provost, the Faculty of Public Affairs, the Discovery Centre, 1125@Carleton, and the Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement (CFICE) research project.
