Dr. Peter Ricketts, Carleton’s Provost and Vice-President (Academic), and Dr. Joy Mighty, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), celebrated the 2016 Carleton University Teaching Award winners at a private luncheon at Baker’s Grill on Monday, July 4.
New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award winners Michael Hilderbrand (Department of Neuroscience), Erik Stephenson (College of the Humanities), and Rodney Nelson (Centre for Initiatives in Education) were all in attendance, as well as Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award winner David Dean (Department of History) and Teaching with Technology Award winner Shannon Butler (Sprott School of Business). Excellence in Learning Support Award winner Claudia Buttera (Department of Biology) was also recognized at the luncheon.
The other outstanding educator who was unable to attend was Shawn Graham (Department of History), who was honoured with a Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award.
