High-Impact Practices at Carleton: Conversations with the Teaching and Learning Council
Thursday, May 25, 2017
8:30 a.m. – noon
270 Residence Commons
Are you passionate about creating an engaging university experience for students? Or helping them understand how the skills they’ve learned at Carleton will apply to their future careers? Maybe you want to improve the virtual and physical learning spaces on campus? Or create real-world experiences for students in the classroom, community or workplace?
Everyone, from instructors to staff to students, has a role to play in the university’s teaching and learning environment. On May 25, we invite you all to join the conversation about some of these “wicked issues” facing our campus community with the Teaching and Learning Council (TLC).
Join the TLC’s Action Teams for interactive presentations on:
- Experiential Learning
- Student Engagement and Satisfaction
- Careers and Skills
- Pedagogy, Technology and Learning Spaces
We’ll wrap up the morning with a discussion about the lessons learned from the TLC’s research over the past three years and the implications for advancing excellence in teaching and learning at Carleton.
