Carleton has secured an enterprise license for Zoom Pro accounts for teaching and learning purposes. This means that all instructors and teaching assistants will be provisioned with a Zoom Pro account, which can support up to 300 concurrent participants.

When the enterprise version of Zoom has been integrated into Carleton’s IT environment, users will log in to the Zoom portal using their MyCarletonOne (MC1) accounts. Zoom will also be fully integrated into Brightspace, making access easier for instructors and students to schedule, join, manage and view Zoom meetings and recordings from within the LMS. The Zoom portal will still be fully accessible for users wishing to use Zoom outside of Brightspace.

We anticipate the integration of Zoom to be completed between April 28 and May 6, 2021. Disruption as we shift to the enterprise version of Zoom should be very minimal. As we work towards this integration we will regularly communicate with Zoom account users as well as Carleton’s teaching and learning community.
