A clear grade book is a key component of a well-structured course. This workshop addresses the important pedagogical role the grade book plays in overall course design. Topics will include grading practices and strategies that provide equity and flexibility to students. We will also address ways in which your students will benefit from transparent and functional grading processes.By the end of this session, you’ll be ready to:
- Choose the type of grading that is right for your course
- Set up a gradebook that provides multiple opportunities for students to succeed
- Alleviate some student anxiety around grades
- Show students how to access grades and feedback
NOTE: This session will be hosted in Zoom and recorded to provide asynchronous access for those who cannot attend the scheduled date.
