Welcome to My Online Classroom — with Tamara Rozina

February 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Cost:Free

Welcome to My (Online) Classroom is a workshop series led by instructors, for instructors, with a specific focus on sharing a wide variety of ideas, strategies, and approaches to teaching online. The sessions will begin with a brief overview from the presenter, and then open for question-and-answer and discussion more broadly. The idea is to create spaces where instructors, regardless of experience, can exchange ideas for teaching online.

This particular session will be led by Tamara Rozina, a Laboratory Superintendent with the Department of Physics. This term, Tamara is the lab coordinator for all sections of PHYS 1007, a high enrollment introductory course that features online labs. In order to optimize communications and transparency with students in an online large-class context, she has experimented with a series of Brightspace features, including Replace Strings and Widgets, and has leveraged some of the affordances of the new system to create a highly organized gradebook. If you are looking to learn more about how you can use Brightspace to improve the teaching and learning experience for students and teachers alike, this is the session for you!

Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
