Jeff Manthorpe

Jeff Manthorpe has been a part of Carleton University’s Department of Chemistry since 2006. Before that, Jeff was living in Montreal, carrying out his post-graduate studies at McGill University.

During his time at Carleton, Jeff’s research has focused on the development of new asymmetric methodology and applications to biologically relevant molecules, both natural and unnatural. He leads an organic chemistry research group at Carleton and utilizes technology in innovative ways when conducting research.

In 2011, Jeff won the Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award, given to those who excel in integrating technology into their teaching practice to enhance students’ learning.
