Michelle DeVidi

Michelle DeVidi is a reference librarian at the MacOdrum Library and a contract instructor in the Department of Law. She credits her work as law librarian with informing her approach to pedagogy.

She says she believes it is critical for her students to have both technical and intellectual skills; two dexterities Michelle has a masterful grip on. She instills the same technical and intellectual skills in her students that she, herself, uses in her day-to-day work. She prepares her students so that they can critically examine the information required for their research projects.

In 2009, Michelle received the Capital Educators’ Award. She has acted as a mentor to students in both Law and Information Studies and takes great pride in the many accomplishments of her students.
