Under the leadership of Alexander Crain, Kristian Delaney, Courtney Savytska, and Prof. Steve Ulrich, the team of 16 students enrolled in DOT developed innovative LiDAR-based computer vision, MPC guidance and control techniques as well as DIOR (Docking Interface for Orbital Refueling) – a unique docking/refueling mechanism – to enable an autonomous rendezvous, docking and refueling maneuver between a servicer and a client spacecraft platform.
