Starting Dec. 1, 2023, Hotspot memberships will no longer be required for parking at Carleton University. When you download the Hotspot app and sign up for Hotspot, you will encounter a membership screen; you can now simply skip this step.

Users who do not have a membership and choose to park using the Hotspot app or the Hotspot QR codes located in all visitor parking lots will no longer incur service fees on your transactions. We believe this adjustment will make parking more accessible and cost-effective for our Carleton University community.

For those of you who already have a membership with Hotspot, you have the option to cancel your membership and still enjoy the benefits of parking with the Hotspot app without service fees. To do this, simply go to your settings, click on “Manage Account,” and then navigate to “My Membership Plan” to cancel your account. You will still be able to use the Hotspot app for parking with no additional service fees. If you have a yearly membership and will have time remaining after this change, please contact Hotspot by email (support@htsp.ca, or 1-855-712-5888) and they will be happy to issue a refund on a prorated basis.

Coming Soon: As part of our continuous efforts to improve service, Hotspot is planning future developments to remove the membership screen entirely for Carleton University users. This means that the process of obtaining a membership will be eliminated, streamlining the parking process for all Hotspot users at Carleton University.
