A carpool consists of two or more people who regularly arrive on campus together in one vehicle. At Carleton, we have partnered with the City of Ottawa to offer a ride match program, for a number of years now, and encourage all car users to consider carpooling as a means to get to and from campus.
As of Sept. 30, 2019, Parking Services, in partnership with Sustainability Carleton, introduced designated carpool parking spaces for parking permit holders who carpool. This new option was launched in P9, P18, P16 and the Library Parking Garage.. So if you have a permit in P9, P18, P16 or the Lib/Gar you can park in the Carpool spaces in only the lot you have a valid permit for. Other lots, including those for visitors will be considered for the program in the future.
