I am Ojibway (Bear Clan) and a registered member of the Wikwemikong Unceded Territory. I have extensive background in “helping” and enjoy being with family, camping, being on the land, and sitting around the fire. My research focuses on Indigenous practices, and the relationship to land and wellness. I engage in Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and my supervisor is Kim Matheson.
My research interests include Indigenous Peoples; Mental Health and Wellness; Marginalized Populations; Healthcare; Women and Lateral Violence, People with Disabilities and Sixties Scoop.
Fall 2021, I entered my 3rd year of the PhD Program – School of Social Work and currently working on my Qualifying Exam.
