The nomination deadline for the 2019 Carleton University Teaching Awards and the Discovery Centre Fellowship is only a week away. If you are interested in pursuing an award or the fellowship, then be sure to get your application in before the deadline on April 30.

Carleton University Teaching Awards

There are four awards currently open for nominations: the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award, the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award, the Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award and the Excellence in Learning Support Award. Get all the details on the awards and the nomination process here.

Nomination packages must be submitted in electronic form to oavptl@carleton.ca. If you do not receive a confirmation email from us within 48 business hours, please contact us directly at 613-520-2344.

Discovery Centre Fellowship 

The Discovery Centre has established a new fellowship to provide an opportunity for Carleton faculty members to further develop or innovate their teaching and make an impact to the broader academic community. Recipients will receive a research grant of $5,000 for teaching projects and funding for up to two teaching releases (one per term). Up to two fellowships will be awarded each year. Get more information about the fellowship and the application form here. 

Applications should be submitted by email to the administrative assistant of the Discovery Centre (aleksandra.minic@carleton.ca). The fellowship will be taken up on July 1.
