If you are a student and employee, you need to notify the Registrar’s Office and Human Resources of the change. Please provide both offices a copy of your citizenship document.
If you are a Carleton employee, you only need to notify Human Resources. Please provide a copy of your citizenship document by email in the form of a secure PDF.

If you are a Carleton University student and employee, you need to notify the Registrar’s Office and Human Resources. Contact the Registrar’s Office and provide them proof of your Permanent Residency. You must also submit your new Social Insurance Number document to Human Resources by email in the form of a secure PDF.
If you are a Carleton University employee, you will only need to notify Human Resources. Please submit proof of your PR status and new Social Insurance Number document to Human Resources by email in the form of a secure PDF.

Yes, there is no legal restriction against collecting Date of Birth. We collect it for confirmation of eligibility to work, benefits, and pensions.

As a new hire to Carleton you are required to complete the Employee Documentation Package that includes the following forms. Please submit the forms in the order below:
- Employee Information Form
- TD1
- TD1ON
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Mandatory Training
- Banking information (void cheque or direct deposit advice)

Additional documents for temporary residents (international workers):
- Letter of confirmation of social insurance number
- Copy of valid immigration document indicating eligibility to work in Canada (work or study permit)

Deadlines for Submitting Hours
Work Study is a program with specific requirements for which students need to be eligible to apply. Not all students who have part-time jobs on campus are part of the Work Study Program.

Note: if an enrolment key is required to access a module, it will be available on the Online Courses page, under the module cu_people_job_title in red.
