Laura Thiessen, a 4th year BSW student in the School of Social Work, is conducting research through Carleton’s I-CUREUS program. Her research explores two residential buildings in Bay Ward in Ottawa that are Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs). She is hoping that her research will help these buildings’ residents to identify their needs and understand what would help them to ‘age in place’ for longer.
