Student Parking Permits

Winter parking permits become available Dec. 1, 2025.

Parking Services encourages all students to use OC Transpo public transit options, including Park and Ride, to commute to campus.

Students must set up a Parking Profile at carleton.parkadmin.com/login complete with vehicle information in order to purchase a permit.

Students with Winter U-Pass Waivers

Any student with a Winter U-Pass waiver (for those living outside of the Transit Service area) qualifies for a Winter parking permit. Please attach your waiver confirmation to your permit request at carleton.ca/parking/u-pass-approved-permit-request by January 30, 2026.   

Students Living in Residence

Students living in residence are entitled to a P18 parking permit. Please send an email request with a photocopy of your driver’s licence with vehicle ownership and matching addresses to parking@carleton.ca by January 5, 2026.

Students Employed at Carleton

There are a limited number of permits available for students employed at Carleton University. Please send an email permit request with proof of employment to parking@carleton.ca by January 5, 2026.

Student Athletes

There are a limited number of Varsity and Club Athlete parking permits available. Your name must be on your team list that your coach submits to Parking Services. Student athletes must come to Parking Services at 204 Pigiarvik with identification to finalize permits by January 23, 2026.

Students with Accommodation Considerations

Students with accommodation considerations may apply to the Paul Menton Centre for an endorsement for either a Physical Disability (Full Accessibility Permit) or a regular student permit (Non-Physical Disability). Medical documentation will be requested.

Permit Waitlist

A student permit waitlist will be opened at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1. Any students who do not meet any of the criteria above may add their name to this waitlist. Students must set up a Parking Profile at carleton.parkadmin.com/login complete with vehicle information in order to join the waitlist. The waitlist can be found under the Permit section of your profile. Waitlist permits will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.  

Permits will be placed into your Parking Account Cart for payment once approved.
