Processing a Student Parking Permit
Winter Parking Permits 2025
There will be approximately 500 winter parking permits available for the winter 2025 term.
Priority will be given to those students with winter U-Pass waivers granted for living outside of the transit service area https://carleton.ca/upass/opt-in-and-opt-out/
Students with winter U-Pass waivers will have until 5 p.m. Friday, November 29 to forward their U-Pass waiver confirmation email to parking@carleton.ca
Once confirmed, you will be offered a winter parking permit.
On Monday, December 9, the remaining winter parking permits will be offered to those on the Student Parking Waiting list (without U-Pass waivers) in chronological order until they have all been issued.
Students who are currently on the waitlist will receive an email offer of a winter parking permit based on availability and will have 72 hours to accept. If it is not excepted within 72hrs your name be removed from the waitlist. No action is required until an offer is received.
For students who do not successfully obtain a winter parking permit, there are other options available. There are visitor parking lots across campus that have hourly and daily rates https://carleton.ca/parking/visitors/parking-rates/
Parking Services and the Sustainability Carleton team encourage students to explore commuting alternatives such as walking, cycling, public transit, ride sharing, carpooling, or permit sharing https://carleton.ca/sustainability/
Residence Students: You are guaranteed parking and do not need to provide proof of waiver. You will need to contact Parking Services to obtain a Residence parking permit in the P18 Garage, starting Dec 9th at 9 a.m.
Parking Services uses virtual parking permits – no physical hangtags will be mailed/need to be displayed – your up-to-date vehicle information (licence plate details) in your ParkAdmin profile is your permit.
How to Process a Parking Permit
- Create an account or login at carleton.parkadmin.com
- Ensure that your most recent vehicle has been added to your profile and is set to “Active”.
- Upon notification that a Permit has been placed in your cart, click on “Payments” at the top of the screen.
- Select “Continue to Checkout” and complete your payment.
- Once your payment is complete, the permit will be valid for the designated period of time.
